XXALJ3 is the new firmware update released for Galaxy Note. In this post we will be going through the guide to install XXALJ3 firmware ANdroid 4.1 Jelly Bean on Galaxy Note 2.
The guide mentioned below is only for Galaxy Note 2 N7100 and is not compatible with any other device. You can check your device model by going to Settings >> About Phone.
We cannot be held liable of any damage done to your device while following the below mentioned procedure.
Update Galaxy Note 2 N7100 To XXALJ3 Firmware
ake a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Download XXALJ3 Firmware (filename- N7100XXALJ3_N7100ODDALJ2_INU.zip) for your device and extract the file to get N7100XXALJ3_N7100ODDALJ2_N7100DDALJ1_HOME.tar.md5.
Download Odin3 v3.04 (filename: Odin3_v3.04.zip) and extract the file to get “Odin3 v3.04.exe”.
Switch off device.
Enter your device into download mode. To enter into download mode Press and hold Power and Volume Down buttons.
Connect device to your computer. You will get a message “Added” on Odin and ID:COM section turns Yellow. If you don’t get the message then make sure that you have installed USB drivers correctly.
In Odin click on “PDA” and select “N7100XXALJ3_N7100ODDALJ2_N7100DDALJ1_HOME.tar.md5” which you got in earlier step.
Click “Start” button to start flashing firmware on your device. Once your device will boot by itself.
If your device does not boot normally and the screen gets stuck then – Go to “Wipe data/Factory Reset” and wait till the data gets wiped and select “reboot system now”.
XXALJ3 firmware is installed on Galaxy Note 2 N7100.
