Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.

Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.

Enable USB Debugging. You can do that by going to “Settings” >> “Developer settings” >> Enable “USB debugging” option.

Download Kies software to install USB drivers on your computer.

Download and extract, you will get a tar file. Download Odin .

Switch off your device and enter into download mode. To enter into download mode press Volume down and Home buttons alonng with Power buttons till you get a Warning message. Press Power button again to enter into download mode.

Launch Odin on your computer and connect your device to computer via USB Cable. ID:COM box will turn Yellow which means that Odin has detected your device. If it does not turn Yellow then reinstall USB drivers.

Select the Root package which you have extracted in the earlier step. Select the tar file which you extracted. Click on “PDA” and then select the file “CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar”.

In Odin select “Auto reboot” and “F.Reset Time”. Click on “Start” to flash.

Once flashing is complete your device will reboot by itself. Disconnect your device from computer by unplugging USB cable.

Your Galaxy S3 running on XXDLI7 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is rooted.
