T-Mobile Galaxy Note users can now easily root their device to flash Custom ROMs and apps. While rooting the device users will not get a Yellow triangle on every boot, hence device warranty will not be void. In this post we will go through how to root T-Mobile Galaxy Note.
The guide is only for T-Mobile Galaxy Note Model No.T879 and should not tried on any other device. To know the Model No. of device Go to Settings >> About Phone.

Root T-Mobile Galaxy Note T879
Take a backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe data.
Make sure that battery of device is 60% charged.
Enable USB debugging on device.You can do that by going to “Settings” >> “Developer settings” >> Enable “USB debugging” option.
Download and install Samsung Kies on your computer.You can download it from here.
Download rooted stock UVLG3 firmware file name “tmob-system.img.tar” and Odin 1.85 on your computer.
Extract the contents of Odin 1.85 zip in a folder and launch Odin3 v1.85.exe file which you got after extracting.
Switch off the device and put it under ‘Download Mode” by pressing and holding Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously till a Warning screen flashes.Now, press Volume Up key to enter Download Mode.
Once your device enter into Download Mode then plug device to your computer using USB cable. You will get a message that Odin has detected device. In ID:COM section a yellow box is displayed which says “Added”.
Click on “PDA” in Odin and select the file “tmob-system.img.tar” which you have downloaded in earlier step.
Click on “Start” to start installing UVLG3 firmware on device.When the installation is complete you will get a message “Pass”.
Disconnect device from computer and reboot it.
T-Mobile Galaxy Note is now successfully rooted, you can now go ahead and install Custom ROMs and apps.
