Sprint Galaxy Note 2 has been rooted using CF-Auto-Root tool by Chainfire which increases binary flash counter on device. XDA member mrRobinson has released a method to root Sprint Galaxy Note 2 without increasing Flash or Binary Counter.
In this post we will be going through the guide to root Sprint Galaxy Note 2 without increasing Flash or Binary Counter.
The guide mentioned below is only for Sprint Galaxy Note 2. You can check Model number of device by going to Settings >> About phone.

Root Sprint Galaxy Note 2 without increasing Flash Counter
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Install USB drivers for your device, 32 bit (x86) Windows from here and 64-bit (x64) Windows from here.
Download ROM for your device from here, you will get a file named “root66_SPR_L900VPALJ1.tar.md5” and Odin from here (Odin3_v3.04.zip).
Extract Odin file to get “Odin3 v3.04.exe” file.
Switch off device and enter into download mode. Press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power keys to enter into download mode.
Connect your device to computer. Odin will detect your device and you will a message ADDED. ID:COM will change the color to Yellow.
Click on PDA button in Odin and navigate to select “root66_SPR_L900VPALJ1.tar.md5 file” which you downloaded in earlier step.
Click on Start button to flash ROM.. When the process gets complete device will reboot automatically. If Odin gets stuck then disconnect the device from computer and then reconnect.
You have successfully rooted Sprint Galaxy Note 2 without increasing Flash Counter.
