HTC Evo 4G LTE users can easily root their device using One-Click Root tool released by XDA Senior Member zedomax and install TWRP Recovery. Rooting lets you to customize your Android device which requires root access. You should understand that rooting voids the warranty of device and to regain warranty you will have to install Stock official firmware. TWRP is touch based recovery which offers faster ROM backup and restore and other features.
We will be going through the guide to root HTC Evo 4G LTE using One-Click tool method and install TWRP recovery.
The guide mentioned below is only for HTC EVO 4G LTE and cannot be tried on any other device.

Root HTC Evo 4G LTE
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Download and install the required drivers for your device. Download for 32-bit Windows and for 64-bit Windows.
Download root package file from here (Evo4GLTERoot.zip) and extract the file.
Connect device to your computer.
Launch folder where you extracted the root package file and click on “runme.bat” file to start rooting process.
Rooting process will take some time. Wait till the process gets finished. Device normally restarts many times during the process.
Disconnect device from your computer.
HTC Evo 4G LTE is rooted now.
Install TWRP Recovery on HTC Evo 4G LTE
Your device should be rooted and bootloader should be unlocked.
Download recovery from here. Download the file from ADB / Terminal method section.
Copy the .img file which you have downloaded to SD-Card of your device.
Download Android Terminal Emulator on your device from Google Play and run the app.
Type su and press enter and then press “Allow” button when prompted.
Now, type following command and press enter-
dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p22
Once recovery is flashed. Reboot your device.
TWRP recovery is installed on your HTC Evo 4G LTE go ahead and flash Custom ROMs.
