Root HTC 10 Android 6.0 Marshmallow using SuperSU. Rooting enables you to install apps which require root access, however rooting voids warranty of your device. To regain warranty you will have to install official firmware.

The guide mentioned below is only for HTC 10 and cannot be tried on any other device.To know the model number of your device go to Settings >> About Phone.

Root HTC 10 on Android 6.0 Marshmallow using SuperSU

Download BETA-SuperSU-v2.74-2-20160519174328.zip for HTC 10 on your PC.

Connect and mount your HTC 10 USB memory on your computer using the USB cable.

Copy BETA-SuperSU-v2.74-2-20160519174328.zip file to your SD card.

Switch off device and boot into Stock Recovery, Press and hold Volume Down, Home, Power till device turns on and then press Volume Up to enter recovery mode.

Choose “install zip from sd card” and confirm to install “SuperSU” file which you have installed earlier. Wait for few minutes till the installation is complete.

Go back and select “reboot system now”.
