Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 has received official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware update. To root Galaxy S2 I9100 on official Android 4.1.2 firmware SuperSU zip file is flashed. This method is used when you don’t want to install Custom Recovery on your device but only want root access.

Root Galaxy S2 I9100 on official Android 4.1.2 firmware using SuperSU file
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Download SuperSU file ( CWM-SuperSU-v0.97.zip) to your device SD Card.
Switch off device and boot into Stock Recovery, Press and hold Volume Down, Home, Power till device turns on and then press Volume Up to enter recovery mode.
Choose “install zip from sd card” and confirm to install “CWM-SuperSU-v0.97.zip” file which you have installed earlier. Wait for few minutes till the installation is complete.
Go back and select “reboot system now”.
Galaxy S2 I9100 is rooted on official Android 4.1.2 firmware. To check if your device is rooted install “Root Checker” app from Google Play Store.
