Let us go through the step by step guide to eturn to Stock 1.15.605.4 RUU for Verizon Droid DNA.
The guide mentioned below is only for Verizon Droid DNA and cannot be tried on any other device.

Restore HTC Droid DNA to Stock firmware
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Bootloader on your device should be unlocked. Go through the guide here.
Download restore to stock RUU package from here and Fastboot (Fastboot.zip).
Extract “Fastboot.zip” file to a folder named as “Fastboot” in C drive.
Switch off device and boot into Fastboot mode. Hold down Volume Up, Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously till the screen turns on.
Connect device to computer and install drivers if not done.
Open Command Prompt on your computer and type commands cd C:\Fastboot and fastboot oem lock.
The bootloader will be relocked now.
Disconnect device from your computer and boot into bootloader mode once more as you did in earlier step.
When device in bootloader mode reconnect to computer and launch RUU executable file.
Simply, follow on-screen instructions to restore HTC Droid DNA to Stock Android 4.1 firmware.
