Install TWRP Recovery 3.0 on Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016)

Install TWRP Recovery 3.0 on Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016). Odin is used to install TWRP on the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016).

TWRP Recovery will enable you to install Custom ROMs, MODs and more on your device.

The guide mentioned below is only for Galaxy A7 (2016) and cannot be tried on any other device or variant. You can check device model by going to Settings >> About Phone.

Install TWRP Recovery On Galaxy A7 (2016)

Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.

Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.

Enable “USB debugging” on your device.

Download TWRP Recovery from here   and Odin(Odin3_v3.09.zip).

Extract the Firmware file which you have downloaded in above step. You will get “.tar” file along with other files.

You will get “.tar.md5” file.

Extract Odin to get “Odin3 v3.09.exe” file.

Switch off device.

Boot device into download mode. Press and hold Volume Down, Home, Power till device turns on and then press Volume Up to enter download mode.

Connect device to computer using USB cable. Odin will detect your device and ID:COM will turn yellow and a message appears saying “Added”. Re-install drivers if Odin fails to detect device.

Click on “PDA button” in Odin and navigate to select “Click on “PDA button” in Odin and navigate to select “.tar.md5″ file which you have downloaded.

In Odin make sure that “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset Time” are selected and “Re-Partition” check box is unchecked.

Click on Start button in Odin to start flashing TWRP Recovery. When flashing is complete you will get a PASS message.

Disconnect device from your computer and let it boot automatically.
