We have already seen how to install AOKP ROM On Nexus 4 and CM 10.1 On Nexus 4 and in this post we will go through the guide to install Slim Bean ROM based on Android 4.2 AOSP on Nexus 4. Slim Bean ROM is extremely light weight ROM and a popular among users. The ROM is in pre-alpha stage so there may be bugs.
The guide is only for LG Nexus 4 and cannot be tried on any other device. You can check Model number of device by going to Settings >> About phone.

Install Slim Bean ROM on Nexus 4
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Unlock bootloader of your device. Go through the guide here.
ClockworkMod Recovery should be installed. Go through the guide here to install.
Download Slim Bean ROM from here. You will have to download Slim Bean ROM, gapps, multi dpi play store and 4.2 JB Launcher.
Copy all the files to SD-Card of your device without extracting.
Switch off device and boot into recovery mode. Hold down Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously and then using Volume buttons select Recovery mode.
Don’t forget to take a Nandrop backup of your existing ROM. Select “Backup and Restore” and then select “Backup” again.
Select “wipe data/factory reset” and confirm to wipe data.
Select “install zip from sdcard” and select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to Slim Bean ROM file and select to confirm installation. Wait till installation is complete.
Similarly, select “choose zip from sdcard” again and select to install “Google apps package”.
Select “Go Back” and select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your device.
Slim Bean Android 4.2 ROM is installed on your device.
