Install official XXU1ANJ3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware on Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910U

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910U Taiwan users can now update their device with the latest XXU1ANJ3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat official firmware. Samsung has recently announced the Galaxy Note 4 N910U and this is the first official firmware update for SM-N910U. We will be going through the guide to install N910UXXU1ANJ3 firmware manually on your device, the firmware can also be installed via Kies Software. XXU1ANJ3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat is an official firmware update by Samsung for Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910U and not a Custom ROM, your device will lose root. You can root your device later.

To flash the firmware on Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910U Odin is used.

Install official XXU1ANJ3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware on Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910U

Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.

Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.

Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.

Download Kies Software to install drivers.

Download XXU1ANJ3 Android 4.4.4 firmware update on Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910U and Odin (Odin3_v3.09.zip).

Extract the Firmware file which you have downloaded in above step. You will get “.tar” file along with other files.

Extract Odin to get “Odin3 v3.09.exe” file.

Switch off device.

Boot device into download mode. Press and hold Volume Down, Home, Power till device turns on and then press Volume Up to enter download mode.

Connect device to computer using USB cable. Odin will detect your device and ID:COM will turn yellow and a message appears saying “Added”. Re-install drivers if Odin fails to detect device.

Click on “PDA button” in Odin and navigate to select “.tar″ file which you have downloaded.

In Odin make sure that “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset Time” are selected and “Re-Partition” check box is unchecked.

Click on Start button in Odin to start flashing Android 4.4.4 firmware. When flashing is complete you will get a PASS message.

Disconnect device from your computer and let it boot automatically.

XXU1ANJ3 Android 4.4.4 firmware on Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910U is now installed. You can check firmware version by going to Settings >> About Phone.
