Install official XXBMC4 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for Galaxy Camera GC100

Samsung has rolled out new official XXBMC4 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware for Galaxy Camera GC-100. The latest firmware update brings bugs fixes for Galaxy Camera GC100. You can easily update the firmware on your device using Kies Software or go through the procedure to install the update manually on your device.

GC100XXBMC4 Android 4.1.2 is an official firmware update by Samsung hence your device will lose root. You can always root your Galaxy Camera GC100 on official firmware later.

Odin is used to flash the firmware on Galaxy Camera GC100.

Install official XXBMC4 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for Galaxy Camera GC100

Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.

Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.

Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.

Download Kies Software to install drivers.

Download XXBMC4 Android 4.1.2 firmware ( on Galaxy Camera GC100 and Odin (

Extract the Firmware file which you have downloaded in above step. You will get “.tar” file along with other files.

Extract Odin to get “Odin3 v3.07.exe” file.

Switch off device.

Boot device into download mode. Press and hold Volume Down, Home, Power till device turns on and then press Volume Up to enter download mode.

Connect device to computer using USB cable. Odin will detect your device and ID:COM will turn yellow and a message appears saying “Added”. Re-install drivers if Odin fails to detect device.

Click on “PDA button” in Odin and navigate to select “.tar″ file which you have downloaded.

In Odin make sure that “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset Time” are selected and “Re-Partition” check box is unchecked.

Click on Start button in Odin to start flashing Android 4.1.2 firmware. When flashing is complete you will get a PASS message.

Disconnect device from your computer and let it boot automatically.

XXBMC4 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Camera GC100 is installed. You can check firmware version by going to Settings >> About Camera.
