HTC One XL users can now install official Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update. The new firmware comes with bugs fixes and enhancements such as better performance of camera, HTC Sense 4+ update and more.
You can update HTC One XL to latest official Android 4.1.1 by going to Settings >> About phone >> Software Update or by updating it manually.
The guide mentioned below is only for HTC One XL and cannot be tried on any other device. To know about your device model go to Settings >> About phone.

Install official Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on HTC One XL
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Download Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Firmware for your device.
Copy the zip file to SD-Card of your device without extracting.
Switch off device.
Boot into the bootloader mode by holding down Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously.Then using Volume buttons select Recovery mode.
Select “wipe data/factory reset” and confirm to wipe data. Wait for few minutes.
Select “install zip from sdcard” and select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware file and select to confirm installation. Wait for installation to get complete.
Select “Go Back” and select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your device.
Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware is installed on your HTC One XL.
