Install I317UCALK7 Android 4.1.2 On AT&T Galaxy Note 2

Samsung has rolled out multi-window feature for AT&T Galaxy Note 2. The feature has been rolled out through I317UCALK7 firmware update.

I317UCALK7 firmware update brings Android 4.1.2 features to AT&T Galaxy Note 2. In this article we will be going through the guide to manually update AT&T Galaxy Note 2 to I317UCALK7 Android 4.1.2 firmware.

Install I317UCALK7 Android 4.1.2 on AT&T Galaxy Note 2

Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.

Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.

Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.

ClockworkMod recovery should be installed on your device. Go through the guide to install ClockworkMod Recovery.

Download the I317UCALK7 Android 4.1.2 Firmware from here.

Copy the Firmware file to internal storage of your device and not on microSD card.

Switch off device and boot into recovery. Holding down Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously and using Volume buttons select Recovery mode.

Perform a Nandrop backup of your existing ROM. Select “Backup and Restore” and then select “Backup” again.

Select “wipe data/factory reset” and confirm to wipe data. Wait till data gets wiped.

Select “install zip from sdcard” and select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to firmware file and select to confirm installation. Wait till installation gets completed.

Select “Go Back” and select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your device.

Android 4.1.2 I317UCALK7 is now installed on your AT&T Galaxy Note 2.
