Install Eclipse ROM On Galaxy S3 I535

Verizon Galaxy S3 I535 users can update their device to Jelly Bean using a Custom ROM named as Eclipse ROM released by XDA Developers member nitroglycerine33 . Eclipse ROM is AOSP based and mixed with items from CyanogenMod and AOKP.

We will be going through step by step guide to install Eclipse ROM on Verizon Galaxy S3 I535

The guide is only for Verizon Galaxy S3 I535 and cannot be tried on any other device. You can find model of your device by going to Settings >> About Phone.

We cannot be held liable for any loss or damage done to your device while following the guide.

Eclipse ROM

Install Eclipse ROM on Verizon Galaxy S3 I535

Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.

Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.

Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.

Clockwork Mod recovery should be installed. Go through the guide here to install ClockworkMod Recovery on Verizon Galaxy S3.

Download the Eclipse ROM for your device from here ( and Google Apps Package from here (

Copy both the zip files to SD-Card of your device without extracting.

Switch off device and boot into recovery. Holding power button and volume down button and enter recovery.

Perform a Nandrop backup of your existing ROM. Select “Backup and Restore” and then select “Backup again”.

Select “wipe data/factory reset” and wait till the data gets wiped completely.

Select “install zip from sdcard” and then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to the Eclipse ROM file which you have downloaded and confirm to “install”. Wait for installation to get complete.

Repeat the procedure to install Google apps by selecting “choose zip from sdcard” and then select “” and install.

Select “reboot system now”.

You have installed Eclipse ROM on Verizon Galaxy S3 I535 running on Jelly Bean.
