Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 users can install a new Custom ROM CyanogenMax which is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This is not an official ROM by Samsung and there may be bugs. CyanogenMax ROM comes with awesome features of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean such as smart keyboard, smooth interface and more.
In this post we will go through guide to install CyanogenMod 10 based Jelly Bean ROM for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
The ROM and guide mentioned is only for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and not for any other device or model. You can check your device model by going to Settings >> About tablet.

Install CyanogenMod 10 Based Jelly Bean ROM on Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Install ClockworkMod Touch recovery on your device.
Download CyanogenMax ROM from here and Google Apps package from here.
Copy both the zip files to your SD-Card without extracting.
Switch off device and enter into CWM recovery mode. Hold power button and volume down button and enter recovery.
Perform a Nandrop backup of your existing ROM. Select “Backup and Restore” and then select “Backup again”.
Select “wipe data/factory reset” and wait till the data gets wiped.
Select “install zip from sdcard” and then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to the ROM file which you have downloaded and confirm to “install”. Wait for few minutes till the installation gets complete.
Repeat the same procedure to install Google apps package.
Wait till the installation gets complete.
Select “go back” and then select “reboot system now”.
