Most of the devices are now getting CyanogenMod 10.1 , Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has also received CM 10.1 update based on Android 4.2.
You should know that the ROM is in early stage there may be bugs and few things may not be working properly.
The guide mentioned below is only for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and cannot be compatible with any other device.

Install CyanogenMod 10.1 on Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Make sure that ClockworkMod recovery is installed. You can go through the guide here.
Download CM10.1 ROM from here and Google Apps Package from here.
Without extracting copy both the zip files to SD-Card of your device.
Switch off device and enter Recovery. To do that, hold down Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously and using Volume buttons select Recovery mode.
It is advisable that you perform a Nandrop backup of your current ROM so that if anything goes wrong you can revert later. Backup and Restore” and then select “Backup” again.
Select “wipe data/factory reset” and confirm to wipe data. Wait till data gets wiped completely.
Select “install zip from sdcard” and select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to ROM file and select to confirm installation. Wait for installation to get complete.
Select “choose zip from sdcard” again and select to install “Google apps package”.
Select “Go Back” and select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your device.
CyanogenMod 10.1 (CM10.1) based on Android 4.2 is installed on Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
