Install CyanogenMod 10.1 Based On Android 4.2.1 On Droid Razr M

CyanogenMod 10.1 is been ported to many device and now also to Droid Razr M, thanks to XDA Senior member dhacker29. CyanogenMod 10.1 (CM 10.1) brings awesome features of latest Android 4.2.1 to your device such as Lock screen widgets, Swype-like typing, panoramic 360 photography and more.

You should know that this is not an official ROM by Motorola or Google but a Custom ROM and you need a rooted device to install it.

Let us now go through the guide to install CyanogenMod 10.1 on Droid Razr M.

This is CM10.1 Unofficial (Preview) and there are bugs, Audio in-call, NFC, Camera, Wifi Hotspot are not working.

The guide mentioned below is only for Droid Razr M Model no. XT907 and cannot be compatible with any other device.

Install CyanogenMod 10.1 based on Android 4.2.1 on Droid Razr M XT907

Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.

Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.

Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.

ClockworkMod recovery should be installed on your device.

Download CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM( and Google Apps Package.

Copy both the zip files without extracting to SD-Card of your device.

Switch off device and boot into Recovery. You can do that by holding down Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously and using Volume buttons select Recovery mode.

Perform a Nandrop backup of your current ROM so that you can revert later if required. Select “Backup and Restore” and then select “Backup” again.

Select “wipe data/factory reset” and confirm to wipe data. Wait till data is wiped.

Select “install zip from sdcard” and select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to ROM file and select to confirm installation. Wait till installation gets completed.

Select “choose zip from sdcard” again and select to install “Google apps package”.

Select “Go Back” and select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your device.
