Nexus 4 is one of the most popular device released, few Custom ROMs also been released which enables you to customize device. We will be going through step by step guide to install Android 4.2.1 based codefireX custom ROM on Nexus 4.

The guide mentioned below is only for the LG Nexus 4 and cannot be tried on any other device.

Install codefireX Android 4.2.1 Custom ROM on Nexus 4
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Bootloader on your device should be unlocked. Go through the guide here.
Make sure that ClockworkMod Recovery On Nexus 4 is installed.
Download codefireX Android 4.2.1 Custom ROM and Google Apps Package.
Copy both the zip files to SD-Card of your device without extracting.
Switch off device and enter recovery. Hold down Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously and then using Volume buttons select Recovery mode.
Don’t forget to take a Nandrop backup of your device. Select “Backup and Restore” and then select “Backup” again.
Select “wipe data/factory reset” and confirm to wipe data completely. It will take few minutes, wait.
Select “install zip from sdcard” and select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to Slim Bean ROM file and select to confirm installation. Wait till installation is complete.
Similarly, select “choose zip from sdcard” and select to install “Google apps package”.
Select “Go Back” and select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your device.
