ClockworkMod recovery is used to flash Custom ROMs and in this post we will be going through the guide to install CWM recovery 6.0 on Galaxy S3 I9300.
The guide mentioned below is only for Galaxy S3 I9300 and not for any other device. You can check your device model number by going to Settings >> About Phone.
We cannot be held liable of any damage done to your device while following the below mentioned procedure.
Install ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 6 on Galaxy S3
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Install Kies software to install USB drivers.
Download ClockworkMod Touch Recovery file from here (filename -recovery-clockwork-touch-22.214.171.124-i9300.tar) and Odin3 v3.04 from here (filename- Odin3_v3.04.zip).
Extract the content of “Odin3_v3.04.zip” file to get “Odin3 v3.04.exe”.
Switch off device and enter into download mode. Press and hold Power and Volume Down buttons to enter your device into download mode.
Launch Odin by double clicking on “Odin3 v3.04.exe”.
Connect your device to your computer via USB cable. Odin will detect the device and ID:COM will change into Yellow.
In Odin click on “PDA” button and select “recovery-clockwork-touch-126.96.36.199-i9300.tar” file which you have downloaded in earlier step.
Click on “Start” button to start flashing ClockworkMod recovery on your device. Once the process of flashing gets complete your device will reboot automatically.
If Odin gets stuck remove battery and re-insert, disconnect device from computer and connect device to computer again by launching Odin.
ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 188.8.131.52 on Galaxy S3 I9300 is installed.
