ClockworkMod recovery (CWM) for Xperia Z is available to be installed. CWM is a popular custom recovery for Android devices which enables you to flash Custom ROMs, backup and restore ROM , flash custom kernels, hacks and mods. Sony Xperia Z is a 5-inch display of full HD 1080p, powered by quad-core Snapdragon S4 Krait processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with 2GB of RAM.

USB storage doesnt mount in recovery (can be fixed, i think)
do not use this for flashing CM10.1 (u will need to use the CM kernel for that)

Install ClockworkMod Recovery on Xperia Z
Device should be running the 10.1.A.1.350 firmware/build number. To check firmware/build number go to Settings » About phone menu.
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Bootloader on your device should be unlocked.
Install Android SDK from here.
Download drivers for Fastboot drivers from here . Unzip driver file to install and copy android_winusb.inf file to extras » google » usb_driver folder where you have installed Android ADB folder. Replace file when asked.
Download latest ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery 6.0 from here or here.
Copy the recovery file which you downloaded to the Android SDK » platform-tools folder.
Switch off your device and enter Fastboot Mode by plugging your device to PC while holding down the volume up button on your device.
Open Android SDK » platform-tools folder and open command prompt window from the folder by clicking on “Open command window here” option in right-click menu.
Enter the following commands and press enter after each command-
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version – to find if your device is connected properly. If you get value 0.3 or 0.5 then proceed further.
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce flash boot “name”.img – to flash recovery. Replace name of file with the name of the recovery file which you downloaded.
fastboot reboot – to reboot device.
Disconnect device from your comaputer.
ClockworkMod recovery is now installed on your Xperia Z.
