Clockworkmod recovery is used to flash Custom ROMs on Android devices. In earlier post we have gone through guide to root Sony Xperia T . In this post we will go through how to install Clockworkmod recovery on Xperia 2.
The guide mentioned below is only for Sony Xperia T and not for any other device.
We cannot be held liable of any damage done to your device while following the below mentioned procedure.
Install ClockworkMod Recovery On Sony Xperia T
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Bootloader of your device should be unlocked. Go through the link here to unlock bootloader.
Install Android Debug Bridge (ADB) on your computer.
Download ClockworkMod recovery image from here (filename- recovery.img) and fastboot from here (filename- Fastboot.zip).
Extract “Fastboot.zip” file to C:\ drive on your computer, you will get a “Fastboot” folder.
Copy “recovery.img” file to “Fastboot” folder.
Connect device to your computer via USB cable and enter into fastboot mode. To enter into fastboot mode hold Volume Up button and connect the USB cable to your device.
Open “Command Prompt” on your computer and type command –
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
If you get a message “waiting for device” then type command-
fastboot -i 0x0fce flash boot recovery.img which will flash recovery on device.
Once the process its complete you will get a message “finished”/OKAY. Disconnect youe device now from computer.
ClockworkMod recovery is installed on your Xperia T.
