ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery for Nexus 4 is being released for users to install. ClockworkMod recovery is required to install Custom ROMs and other MODs.
However, you should remember that to flash CWM recovery you need to unlock the bootloader on your device which will wipe data from your device and voids warranty.
The guide mentioned below is only for LG Nexus 4 and cannot be tried on any other device.

Install ClockworkMod Recovery on LG Nexus 4
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Bootloader of your device should be unlocked.
ADB should be installed. You can do that from here.
Download Fastboot to flash recovery on your device. Download Fastboot – Filename: Fastboot.zip. Extract the Fastboot.zip file into C driver.
Download ClockworkMod recovery image (recovery-clockwork-touch-188.8.131.52-mako.img).
Download stock recovery disabler (revert-recovery-disabler_signed.zip).
Copy the .img file which you have downloaded to Fastboot folder.
Switch off device and then boot into fastboot mode by holding down Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously till you get “Start” message.
Connect your devivce to computer via USB cable to install USB drivers.
Open Command prompt in your computer and type these commands and then press enter-
fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-touch-184.108.40.206-mako.img
ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery is installed on Nexus 4.
If you want to flash back to stock recovery then download stock recovery image.
