Install Android 6.0.1 Pure Nexus Project Marshmallow Custom ROM on LG Nexus 4
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
ClockworkMod Recovery should be installed. Guide to install ClockworkMod Touch Recovery on Nexus 4.
Connect your Nexus 4 with computer using USB cable.
Now copy/paste the downloaded Android 6.0.1 ROM zip and Google Apps zip files to your internal SD card root.
Switch off device and boot into thee Bootloader Mode. Turn on your phone while pressing and holding the Volume Up + Volume Down and Power buttons.
Follow the screen instructions and select Bootloader and then go to Recovery.
In ClockworkMod Recovery, select perform a full data wipe by selecting “wipe data/factory reset”.Use the Power button to select everything while in the RecoveryMode.
Perform a cache wipe by selecting “wipe cache partition”.
From CWM recovery window, go to ‘advanced’ and then select “wipe dalvik cache”.
Go back to the main recovery screen and select “install zip from SD card”.
Now, select “choose zip from sdcard”. Using your volume keys, navigate to the Android 6.0.1 ROM zip file and select it using the Power button.
Confirm the installation process.
Repeat the above steps to install the Gapps zip file.
Once the installation completes, go back and reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now” from the recovery menu.
