HTC Desire HD users can now update their device to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by installing a Custom ROM named JellyTime. JellyTime ROM is based on CyanogenMod 10 with new features. You should understand that the ROM is not an official one by Samsung or HTC.
HTC Desire HD has a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen powered by 1 GHz Scorpion processor and having 1.5 GB Internal storage.
In this post we will go through how to update HTC Desire HD to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean using JellyTime ROM.

The guide mentioned below is only for HTC Desire HD and not for any other device. You can check your device model number by going to Settings >> About Phone.

Install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on HTC Desire HD with JellyTime ROM
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Download latest version of JellyTime ROM from here and Google Apps Package from here.
Copy both the zip files to SD-Card of your device without extracting.
Switch off device and enter into recovery mode. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down and Power buttons.
Perform a Nandrop back up of your existing ROM so that you can revert back to old ROM if required. Select Backup and Restore option from the recovery mode and then select backup again.
Select the option “wipe data/factory reset” and confirm to wipe all data.
Select “install zip from sdcard” and then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to ROM file and select to install.
Once the installation gets complete repeat the procedure to install Google Apps Package.
Select “go back” and then select “reboot system now”.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on HTC Desire HD with JellyTime ROM is installed.
