Sony Xperia T runs on Android 4.0 ICS but you can get an experience of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by installing AOKP ROM. This is not an official ROM by Samsung or Sony and you may experience bugs as it is in development stage. Here we will be going through the guide to install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based AOKP ROM on Xperia T.
The guide mentioned below is only for Sony Xperia T and not for any other device.

Install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based AOKP ROM on Sony Xperia T
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
Bootloader of your device should be unlocked.
Download AOKP ROM and Google Apps package (Filename: gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip) and copy both the zip files to SD-Card of your device without extracting.
Download fastboot (Filename: Fastboot.zip).
Extract “Fastboot.zip” file to C: drive on your computer to get a “Fastboot” folder.
Open AOKP ROM zip file and extract “boot.img” file and copy extracted “boot.img” file to “Fastboot” folder in C drive.
Connect device to your computer via USB cable and enter into fastboot mode. To enter into fastboot mode hold Volume Up button and connect the USB cable to your device.
Open “Command Prompt” on your computer and type-
fastboot flash boot boot.img
If you get a message “waiting for device” then you will have to type-
fastboot -i 0x0fce flash boot boot.img
to flash kernel.
Enter into ClockworkMod recovery. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down and Power buttons.
Select “wipe data/factory reset” and wait till data gets wiped.
Select “install zip from sdcard” and then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Navigate to AOKP ROM file and confirm to install. Wait till the installation gets complete.
Repeat the procedure to install Google apps package. Wait till the installation gets complete.
Select “go back” and then select “reboot system now”.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based AOKP ROM on Sony Xperia T is installed.
