Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the lastest yet to be released phablet by Korean giant Samsung. In this article we will be going through guide to root and install Clockworkmod (CWM) recovery on Galaxy Note 2 N7100. Thanks goes to XDA Forum Member Chenglu.
The guide is only for Galaxy Note 2 N7100 and should not be tried on any other device. You can find model of your device by going to Settings >> About Phone
Rooting voids warranty and warranty can be restored only by applying official sofware update.

How to Root and install Clockworkmod recovery on Galaxy Note 2 N7100
Take a complete backup of data,apps and settings as the procedure may wipe your data.
Make sure that the battery of device has a minimum charge of 60%.
Enable “USB debugging” on your device by going to Settings >> Developer options >> Enable USB debugging.
To install CWM and get root access download root and cwm package for Galaxy Note 2 N7100 from here filename – cwm6-root-note2.tar.md5 and Odin filename- Odin3-v1.838.exe.
Switch off device and then enter into download mode. Press Volume down and Home buttons along with Power buttons till a Warning message appears. Press Power button again to enter into download mode.
Connect your device to computer using USB cable. You will be getting a message “Added” on Odin and ID:COM section turns Yellow.
In Odin click on “PDA” and select “cwm6-root-note2.tar.md5” file which you have downloaded.
Click on “Start” button to start installing CWM recovery on your device. When installation is complete your device will boot by itself.
Galaxy Note 2 is now rooted and with Clockworkmod recovery installed.
