Google has started rolling out Google Play services version 4.1 for Android users globally. The latest version adds turn-based multiplayer support in Google Play Games and more.
Since, Play Games now supports turn-based multiplayer, developers can build asynchronous games to play with friends and auto-matched players with up to eight players per game.
Google Play services 4.1 also includes features such as a new Google Drive API, improved battery life, Google Location Reporting enabled, Google+ enhancements along with improved location-based ads.
As per Android Developer blog, “Once the rollout has completed, users will be able to download the SDK using the Android SDK manager and get started with the new APIs.”
